How these are counted
- Install taps are taps on “Open Waze” in the install steps on a phone. Waze takes it from there and doesn't report back, so a tap is an install started, not one Waze has confirmed.
- *Confirmed installs are people who answered “Yes” to the “Did it work?” prompt after coming back from Waze. They're self-reported, and plenty of people never answer, so the real number is higher.
- Visitors are estimated without cookies: a one-way hash of the connection, counted in a structure that can't be turned back into who anyone is. No IP address is stored.
- Suggestions are counted per character, with typos and different spellings folded into one name. Suggesting a character that's already here doesn't add to the list.
- Character clicks are preview plays plus taps on a face at the top of the page. Known bots aren't counted.
